After contacting AutoWerX Detailing this customer wanted his pride and joy to look as good as it performs as well as protecting the paintwork to prevent swirls and other blemishes returning after it was machine polished. The vehicle was fully decontaminated, consisting of a multiple stages:
Paintwork and alloy wheel Citrus Prewash to remove surface grime, then rinsed.
Snowfoam pre soak to remove further left over surface grime and prepare the paintwork for washing, then rinsed.
Three Bucket Method safe wash, rinsed.
Alloy wheels and arches deeply cleaned with PH neutral cleaners, along with an assortment of detailing brushed of various sized.
Vehicle partly dried, then Iron and Fallout remover applied and left to dwell for 5 minutes to cleanse the paintwork and remove contaminants that often you cannot see, then rinsed.
Tar removal product applied to remove baked on tar and road grime.
Clay bar treatment with a fine grade clay bar to remove any remaining paintwork contaminants.
Snowfoam then re applied and rinsed to remove any remaining chemicals and residue
Once safely dried via compressed air and microfiber drying towels, the paintwork received a single stage machine polish with the Rupes Bigfoot Polishing system to restore gloss, remove light swirls / wash marring and rid the surface of some deeper scratches.
The paintwork was then wiped down with CarPro eraser to remove any polishing oils and residue so that the ceramic coating bonds perfectly to the lacquer. CarPro Cquartz was applied, panel by panel to the car. Once left to cure for an hour, a secondary layer was applied. This toughens up the coating, offering double the protection and durability.
This was left to cure for a number of hours and during this time the alloy wheels were removed and sealed with CarPro DLUX alloy wheel coating. Durable for up to 20,000 miles this high temperature resistant coating prevents brake dust build up and road grime from pitting the wheels and diminishing the appearance. Dirt build up can simply be removed with a stream of sharp water.
Glass surfaces were sealed with a rain repellent, lessening the need for wiper blades when travelling at 30+ mpg, as rain will simply roll off the wind screen.
The vehicle finally received a wipedown with CarPro Reload synthetic sealant to further add protection over the ceramic coating and enhance the gloss that little bit more.
To complete the detail, tyres and plastic trim were dressed as well as the Milltek exhaust tips polished and sealed.
The car was then driven to the Nurburgring in Germany, the customer assured me it was the cleanest and glossiest car on the track!
